So I go and buy another M48A so I can make it a "custom". Nothing really different about it right now other than the new stock. Got it from Richard's, spent a lot of time fitting it right. I'll need to start over <G>. I'm not happy with my sanding job. The first time I had it out to shoot I had on it a B-Square scope mount that replaced the rear leaf site. I have no idea if it would hold zero or not (posts I see about it are 50-50, it really seems though that if you tighten things up properly and use blue loc-tite it should be fine. There are screws that hold screws in place), because after 15 rounds the lens inside the red-dot scope I was using fell out of it's mounting. So I'll have to wait until I get it back to try again. I have the original leaf back in place until then. I don't have a handgun scope to try out on it, my main reason for using a scope at all is eyesite. |
